12/9/98 Dan Hicks Enterprises Great Guns Publishing Computer people, I just did a lot of reading-- a couple of (few) months of e-mail from the Hixsters and I think I have some imput. It is indeed interesting reading about one's self-- kinda like listening in to a party line For the record, yes, that is me and the early Hot Licks on the "O" song for Sesame Street. I believe it was written ny the actor Larry Hankin. At the time we also did "V" and "E" songs. A "cowboy Feelings" song was also done later in the Seventies. Also I have an entry for the hidden lyric query: "Even Santa's reindeer wouldn't kiss you there!" What song? What album? Moving along: And hey thanks for those wonderful critiques on my performances. I've learned a lot: attitude counts a great deal, don't repeat myself on intros, carry at least a quartet with me in the road, remember that while I'm in the building--- it's "ShowTime!", try to diversify my repretoire(sic?). Just for another record: Tom Mitchell is an inventive cookin' swing guitarist--- so please stop this tone-deaf comparison dribble. Also, I say thanks much to everyone who atttends the shows. Seriously. There's a Danny Alvin Hicks in the Screen Actors Guild that's not supposed to use the name Dan Hicks (one name to a customer), but does. "Up, etc" & "Canned Music" are not on the Class Action soundtrack.. At least not the album I saw. The second Epic Album (un-completed) sits in some Colombia tape boxes somewhere, and that's good. The Christmas Jug Band doesn't play Christmas Eve *per se* because some guys got their wives preggers and now there's this family thing they do. Corny, huh? Thanks for listening and be good to yourselves. Your master, Dan Hicks p.o. box 5481 mill valley, calif 94942
